Frequently Asked Questions

Where is ZEN?

We are located just 5 minutes outside of Harrogate in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside on the a59 Skipton Road in Felliscliffe.

If you are visiting ZEN for the first time, we advise you to put S&B Sensory into google maps and it will bring you straight to our car park. If you just put in our post code, it will take you to a farm nearby.

Is the centre disability accessible?

ZEN has been specifically designed for those with additional needs and disabilities and so the entire centre is wheelchair accessible. Our centre is fitted with both tracking hoists and mobile hoists so that all equipment at ZEN can be used by everyone. We have a changing room/toilet at ZEN with both a changing bed for children and adults as well as a baby changing unit. Our toilet facilities also include grab rails.

Do you have an age limit to visit ZEN?

ZEN is a therapeutic sensory centre for all ages and abilities, from birth, to children and adults with additional needs and those with Dementia.

Is there a cafe on site?

We do not have a cafe on site. All sessions at ZEN include complimentary tea/coffee/squash and you are welcome to bring your own food to eat in the Activity Room only.

Can I feed my baby throughout the Centre?

Breastfeeding, bottle feeding and drinks are welcomed throughout the entire centre. However, food is only to be eaten in the Activity Room and not in the other 3 sensory rooms (light room, water room and UV room).

Can we mix households?

As we are classed under the support group clause, mixed households are allowed. However, we do have to advise you to wear your face masks throughout the centre and to maintain social distancing.

Do I need to wear my face mask throughout the centre?

Everyone must come to ZEN with a face mask (unless exempt) and will not be allowed entry without. If you are visiting the centre for a Full Access session or an entire centre booking in your own bubble/household, once you are in your room, you may remove your masks.  Masks must be worn as you move room to room, upon entering and exiting the centre and when leaving your room to use the toilet.

If you are a mixed household group, face masks should be worn throughout the entire centre.

Do I need a referal to visit ZEN?

No, everyone is welcome at ZEN, you do not require a referal to be able to enjoy our centre!

Are children under 5 included in the numbers to visit ZEN?

Regardless of the current government guidelines, our numbers will always include all those in the group including under 5s due to the size of our rooms and our own company policies and risk assessments.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, we have our own car park on site
