ZEN Sensory is an award winning, immersive sensory centre based in the beautiful village of Wath, Ripon in North Yorkshire. After years of supporting those with additional needs to spaces that promote themselves as fully inclusive but aren’t or being asked to leave or be judged just for being them, we decided to create a space that broke those boundaries, celebrated individuality and provided a safe, welcoming space for all who need the service!

Although we offer sensory sessions for EVERYONE, we specialise in running a part time approved, therapeutic alternative provision for primary aged children in term time with SEND, SEMH needs, ADHD and sensory processing needs. We believe there should be places available to help all children thrive and we understand that mainstream education can be challenging for some children. That’s why we have developed a provision to help support children reengage in education whilst meeting their individual needs through a flexible, sensory informed approach.

During the school holidays, we run a specialist holiday club offering sensory based, inclusive activities, crafts, games, animal therapy and more! We also offer FEAST funded spaces for those on benefit related free school meals.

We also run sensory sessions for adults and children which have been thoughtfully curated to meet all needs from open sessions to move freely between rooms, to private, immersive sessions for small groups who prefer more structure and lower noise. We also offer monthly wellness sessions for school aged children on our Refresh and Reset sessions.
